OMG January already !!!!
I can't believe that it is the middle of January already and that my last posting was in November. Where has the time gone? Well, I'm sure a lot of you will have had some sort of virus over the last couple of months as it seems that every other person I speak to has, including me. Mine started way back in November with a nasty cough which then turned into a chest infection and I felt really ill. The coughing was awful and I ended up on antibiotics. One week later and it was back again, this time with an even worse cough which sent a disc out in my thoracic spine. I was in agony so the Doc left me a script for Ibruprofen and Diazipan in the hope it would help the disc to relax and go back in place. But no such luck, in fact I finished the second course of antibiotics and was still in a mess with a terrible cough so they then put me on a third course of antibiotics as it had moved to my lung. The only thing that helped me was an electric heat pad that a friend had bought me and I had never used. It was like a real comforter and sooooooo warm and much much better than a hot water bottle. I bought a couple as presents at Christmas and they went down very well. Well its now mid January and I have finished taking all my antibiotics but have been left with a weeze and a slight cough but the disc is no where near as painful. Anyway I decided to research my drugs to see if any of them can weaken your chest and found one site that said I should not mix my Fluexetine (Prozac) with my Tramadol which I have done since I can't remember when. I've stopped taking them at the same time but as I am on slow release Tramadol I can't really alter that one but I have a meeting with the pain team at my local hospital next week to go through my drugs so I am hoping they can tell me why my chest has become so weak. I have attended a test for Asthma which was negative but I still weeze. Anyone else out there weeze for no reason whatsoever or have a weak chest after being on lots of medication? To be honest with you I thought I was never going to feel better. Anyway to all I haven't seen or spoken to in the last couple of months - a Happy New Year to you all. I do hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year which now, strangley enough, seems ages and ages ago - why? Well, i've got lots of paperwork to catch up with so I will be back after my trip to the Pain Clinic. Do keep in touch you back sufferers I've felt quite alone with this awful pain over Christmas and only had half a glass of alcohol on New Years Eve !!!!!!!!!!
