Bowen Technique for Back Pain?

I've been reading this afternoon about how the Bowen Technique, a different kind of hands-on experience where after a health consultation, you lie, lightly clothed, while the therapist, using a series of gentle movements, works on your spine and other specific areas of the body. It says they may us thumbs, middle and index fingers but not the heel of the palm, so no pummelling. After each sequence of moves the therapist will leave the room for about two minutes to allow you your own space to relax and respond to the moves and they could do this six to eight times times during treatment. (Woman & Home June 2009) I've heard the name Bowen Technique but I had no idea that the treatment is as I have written above and would love to have a go, not just because its probably the only treatment which I have not yet tried for back pain, but also because it sounds very relaxing. I just wondered if anyone reading this has tried it and if they have what they thought of it and how long it gave you without pain?
