Thoracic Disc Pain is awful !!
Well, I've well and truly blown it this time after my painting expedition :**: I honestly didn't think I could do myself any harm but i've been in agony since the disc came out in my thoracic spine on Wednesday. I had my trip to the Queens for my first treatment of six electro acupuncture sessions in my neck and arms on Tuesday and I must admit I did feel pretty rough after it and came home and went straight to bed to sleep for a couple of hours. That evening I felt a bit sickly but its quite common after your first treatment and especially if you have not had a treatment for such a long time. The following day (Wednesday) I just went to put my cardigan on and that's when it went, so I did what I always do when my discs slip a bit and went straight to bed with a hot bottle and took some anti-inflammatories and my usual mixture of meds and lay flat for a few hours. It didn't improve much that day and I had an awful night but I did feel a bit better when I got up on Thursday morning. I carried on with my routine of rest, heat, anti-inflammatories etc but it just keeps coming and going and the pain is in my thoracic spine which makes the pain pretty awful as apart from it being in between my shoulders it comes through to my chest and down my arm so any movement with my head, neck or arms just makes it worse. I'm not one for just curling up and having a good cry I do still push myself a little in the hope that the endorphines will kick in but we popped into town this morning and I just felt so ill and exhausted with the pain that we had to come back for me to go to bed AGAIN !!!! SOOOOOOO, as you can imagine I'm a bit fed up and frustrated at the moment................ Ah!!!!!!!! I know, never mind, i'll keep plodding on - got no option really.
