Action for Brain Injury Week 12th - 18th May

skull pic With cuts to welfare benefits, local authority and NHS budgets continuing to impact on people's lives, Headway aims to be the voice of brain injury survivors across the UK when we use ABI Week 2014 to say 'Don't cut me out!' The campaign aims to increase awareness of the plight of individuals and families affected by brain injury whose access to vital support services is being reduced as a result of funding cuts and welfare reforms. How are funding cuts affecting people after brain injury? To help us understand how welfare benefits reform and changes to local authority funding is affecting people with a brain injury, Headway conducted a survey to gather people's experiences. The survey is now closed and they are analysing the results. They will be released on the Headway site during Action for Brain Injury Week.
