According to an article in the Daily Mail, Good Health section, music could help tackle fibromyalgia pain. They state that women with fibromyalgia had better control of their pain after listening to music five times a day for two weeks. Well, I've certainly not listened to it that much but I have to say that if I'm having a really bad day then I find if I go and lie on the bed and just plug my headphones into my music it really helps me to relax and ease my pain. It also helps me to go off to sleep. Apparently in a study of 30 women, the impact of music was assessed and had been shown to reduce stress, which is thought to play a key role in fibromyalgia symptoms.
