How to Get in and Out of Bed Properly With Low Back Pain

It's silly really we all know how to get in and out of bed but do you know how to get in and out of bed correctly if you suffer from low back pain? To help you avoid causing pain while getting into bed, sit on the bed with your arms by your sides. Then lower yourself on one side by leaning on your elbow then putting your head down while raising your legs on the bed. (Hope that makes sense). When getting out of bed, lie on your side, raise your head then put your feet on the floor and lift yourself into a sitting position. If you need to be horizontal, lie down on a bed or sofa, in any comfortable position. To ease the strain on your back, try putting pillows under your head and between your knees when lying on your side, under your knees when lying on your back, or under your hips when lying on your stomach. These three tips on a youtube video are also great to watch how to correctly get in and out of bed.
