Control My Pain Program from the S
urvive Strive Thrive team which was designed to teach people holistic strategies to heal their pain. The whole course is video and audio content which I think makes it more interesting and easy to understand.
Week Three is

The first video introduces T
houghts and Feelings by learning all about cognitive behavioural therapy and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
The next video is the C
ognitive Behavioural Therapy Model and it is the first time that I have properly understood clearly about cognitive behavioural therapy for pain. It is all to do with how you think about your pain that impact on your quality of life, and pain and distress.
The next video is a case study on how
Thoughts Influence Actions which are so true when you are in chronic pain.

The fourth video in week three is another quiz on
common patterns of thinking.
The fifth video is all about
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which also includes a quiz or you can download it.
The last two videos in the
Thoughts and Feelings project ist of helpful websites and books you could buy as well as the course resources.
I found this weeks program extremely useful in explaining all about
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is now widely used to help people with not only pain but other problems they are dealing with. I've read a book in the past about it but these videos explain it much easier and is something I will definitely be trying in the near future.
