Mesothelioma - a Rare Cancer Caused From Exposure to Asbestos

The Lanier Law Firm wrote to me and asked if I would write a post on Mesothelioma Cancer to help raise awareness of it. It is a cancer I have no knowledge of but I can post details they have sent me about this awful condition below.
Mesothelioma is a rare cancer caused from exposure to asbestos that takes 20-50 years to develop. To many, mesothelioma is considered a man's disease, however, women can contract this cancer just the same. Women also face more hurdles in getting a mesothelioma diagnosis and compensation. That's why they wanted to make a guide about women and mesothelioma, and what women need to know. Check out the guide.
They also made a guide that outlines everything to know about mesothelioma, which complements there other guide.
A ton of work was put into these and believe they can really benefit many people. If you think this guide could be helpful for your readers, then consider sharing these links.
Cancer Research UK wrote "Mesothelioma is a cancer that usually starts in the layers of tissue that cover each lung (the pleura). More rarely it can start in the peritoneum. The peritoneum is the layer of tissue that covers the organs in your tummy (abdomen).
In the UK around 2,700 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma each year. It is quite a rare cancer.
Mesothelioma in the chest (pleural mesothelioma) is much more common than mesothelioma in the abdomen (peritoneal mesothelioma)." For lots more information about Mesothelioma head to Cancer Research UK or contact your GP.
